We are located in the Vedado section of Havana, which dates from
the 1950s and occupies roughly the northwest quadrant of the city.
Many of the best hotels and nightclubs are in Vedado, such as the
famous Hotel National and the Melia Cohiba with its Havana Cafe
disco. The northernmost four blocks of Calle 23 near the Malecon
is commonly called La Rampa. There you'll find the Hotel Libre,
the Cafeteria Sophia (an outdoor
cafe with live traditional music)
and La Zorra y El Cuervo (a great latin jazz nightclub). Our house
is located just one-half block off of Calle 23
approximately one mile south of La Rampa.
Havana is pretty spread out but since we are centrally located
a short taxi ride will get you most anywhere. Prices range from
$2.50 to La Rampa, $3 to the clubs and hotels in the Miramar District,
and $5 to Havana Vieja (Old Havana) or Havana Central.
